Identité

Identité is a minimal, elevated everyday clothing brand based in New York City. They differentiate themselves through their ecological efforts in minimizing the carbon footprint in their production. Identité creates clothes that are impactful in a minimal way. Less is more.

The Brand

For the brand's identity, I focused on emphasizing two parts of the business. Eco-friendly and minimal. Identité prides itself on being earth friendly, especially amongst its competitors, this drove the color and iconography design direction. The style of clothes Identité creates is minimal but impactful. To follow suit with the style choices in the clothing, it only made sense to add that simplicity and high-impact design theory to the rest of the brand identity.

The Logo

 

When designing the logo for Identité, I wanted to maintain a simple wordmark that felt practical for the fashion industry while at the same time adding subtle design choices that I felt represented the brand. The result was a sans-serif type logo with a hand-drawn “E” to replace the existing “E” in Identité. Replacing the “E” worked out to be the simple solution to represent “eco-friendly” and “unique” at the same time; two core values of the brand.
